The first-generation Meta Quest, originally released as the Oculus Quest, was Meta’s first all-in-one headset. Tracking, processing power, and the battery are all built right into the headset; no PC or external sensors are required. When you opt for a rental of the Meta Quest 1, you get a proven standalone device for simple presentations, training sessions, or trade show booths where a specific application is to be run.
Are you looking for a newer model? The direct successor is the Meta Quest 3, which features mixed reality and a significantly higher resolution. You can find all generations in our Meta category, and models from other manufacturers with VR headsets are available for rental.
The Meta Quest 1 features two OLED displays, each with a resolution of 1,440 × 1,600 pixels per eye at 72 Hz. The field of view is approximately 100 degrees. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with 64 or 128 GB of storage, depending on the model. Speakers are built into the headstrap, along with a microphone for voice communication in multiplayer applications. Headphones can be connected via the 3.5-mm jack if needed.
Four wide-angle cameras on the front of the Meta Quest 1 track the surroundings and the position of the controllers. This allows head and hand movements to be tracked in six degrees of freedom without the need to set up sensors in the room. The headset can be used while standing, sitting, or in room-scale mode; a virtual boundary alerts users in advance when they are approaching the edge of the play area.
The Meta Quest 1 comes with two ergonomic touch controllers featuring buttons, thumbsticks, and grip sensors. They recognize gestures quickly and reliably, making them ideal for both games and interactive product presentations. The package includes batteries for the controllers and a charging cable for the headset, so you can get started right away.
The Meta Quest 1’s battery lasts two to three hours with average use. The device can also be used while charging, for example, with a connected power bank. Weighing 571 g, the headset is well-padded and suitable for people who wear glasses. For trade shows and events with many different users, we recommend hygienic disposable VR masks or wipeable leather pads.
Meta has discontinued official support for the Meta Quest 1, and new apps and features are no longer being released for it. It therefore shines in clearly defined use cases: a specific app, 360-degree videos, or custom applications that we can install upon request before shipping. For the latest games, mixed reality, or new business apps, we recommend rental of the Meta Quest 3. We’d be happy to check in advance whether your application runs on the Meta Quest 1.
Within the Quest series, the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro are the obvious alternatives. From other manufacturers, the HTC Vive Focus 3 and the Pico 4 are good options. You can find an overview of all wireless models in the Standalone VR category.

We deliver available rental devices by express or overnight shipping throughout Germany. This means you receive the hardware on time for the agreed date, even for short-notice projects, trade fairs, events or training sessions. The devices arrive securely packaged and can be returned for shipping in the same packaging. For the return, you will receive a link from us that lets you arrange the pickup of the devices yourself.
On request, we prepare your rental devices according to your requirements before shipping. Depending on the device, we can for example install apps and software, set up Wi-Fi settings or apply individual configurations. This gives you ready-to-use hardware that can be used on site directly for your project, training session, trade fair or company deployment.
With us, you can rent starting from just one day, up to several weeks or months. The short minimum rental period is especially suited to time-limited use cases such as trade fairs, events, training sessions, workshops or short-notice projects. This way, you only pay for the exact period in which you actually need the devices. An extension of the rental period is also possible subject to availability.
For events, training sessions, rollouts and larger company projects, we can also provide many rental devices in larger quantities. Depending on the model and availability, you can receive tablets, smartphones, laptops or VR headsets in uniform device series, for example. On request, larger quantities can be pre-configured and delivered together to the desired location.
